Understanding the self-certification system

The Self-Certification System operates under the Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act, 1963, administered by the Export Inspection Council (EIC) of India. Unlike consignment-wise inspection where each shipment requires individual examination, the SC system evaluates the manufacturer’s overall quality infrastructure and capabilities.
